Peer Reviewer

In the review process, there is at least one reviewer for each manuscript on the related topic. In addition, prospective reviewers are selected by the publisher. Ratings from reviewers will be processed by the editor to make a decision and be determined. 

Generally, prospective reviewers will be selected based on their reputation in the number and quality of National and International publications. The next step is to send an email invitation letter to each prospective reviewer. After potential reviewers have expressed their willingness to go through the review process, the Editor creates an account for each reviewer and then submits the manuscript via OJS.

All review processes are in a double blind review and are managed by the editors at OJS.

Articles based on the Criteria outlined below.

• The appropriateness or fit for the mission of the Devotion - Journal of Community Service
• The significance in contributing new knowledge (advancing a field of study; or providing best practices or lessons-learned);
• The rigor and feasibility of the article; and
• The readability and flow of the information and ideas presented.

Additional criteria based on the following manuscript types: as a research article, as a reflective essay; as a project with promise article; as a dissertation abstract; or as a book review.
